Email Marketing with HubSpot

By M.Shahid, AM Marketing – Hayzel Technologies.

Starting email marketing can feel like a lot, especially when you’re staring at a fresh dashboard loaded with buttons. If you are using HubSpot, though, you are in good hands. Once you have the foundations down, this one of the most beginner-friendly platforms available is easy sailing.
Let’s walk through, step-by-step of HubSpot for email marketing.

  1. Make Your First Email:

Click “Create Email” under Marketing > Email after logging into HubSpot. You can choose from:
Regular: For sporadic communications such as newsletters or promotions
Automated: For processes that automatically generate emails (such as welcome emails)
If you’re just getting started, stay with “Regular” for the time being.
Tip: To prevent your emails from ending up in spam, make sure your email domain is connected in settings before sending anything.

2. Select or create a template:

  • HubSpot provides you with clean, mobile-friendly pre-designed templates. These are excellent places to start if you’re unsure or in a hurry.
  • Do you want something more personalized? Move items around, add your logo, alter colors, or do anything else that suits your brand using the drag-and-drop editor.
  • Make sure the layout is straightforward and readable. Three conflicting messages are less effective than one clear one.

3. Write Like a Human:

This part’s important: your email should sound like it’s from a real person, not a corporate bot.

  • Subject line: Keep it short, clear, and a little curious.
  • Body: Be conversational. Pretend you’re writing to one person.
  • CTA: Make it obvious what you want them to do. One clear button usually works best.
  •  People like emails that are friendly and to the point.

4. Segment Your List:

Not everyone should receive every email. HubSpot allows you to send more relevant content by grouping users according to their behavior, such as what they clicked, purchased, or signed up for.
People’s reactions can be significantly impacted by even basic segmentation, such as “new subscribers” versus “existing customers.”

5. Try Automation:

After you feel at ease using standard emails, start using workflows. These enable you to automatically send emails in response to user actions, such as a welcome email upon registration or a follow-up email if a user clicked but did not complete a purchase.
Without the need for manual follow-ups, it helps nurture leads and saves you time.

6. Monitor and Learn:

Once the email has been sent, check your analytics. With HubSpot, you can view open rates, clicks, and unsubscribes. These numbers help you figure out what works and what needs to be changed.
Adjust, test, and retry. Email marketing is a continuous process that becomes more straightforward each time.

Conclusion:

Email marketing doesn’t have to be hard. With HubSpot, you can start small, stay human, and grow as you go.
